"If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you." (John 15:7)
"This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." (1 John 5:14)
When we think of the word “boldness” in the Bible, often times we think of Jesus, the disciples, or the prophets; people who had a great anointing or a fiery way of declaring what God wants on the earth. I believe that boldness is not limited to personality types or the “big name” people we know around us.
Boldness comes from knowing what God wants on the earth and simply being willing to take action. I think of what Jesus said when He was staring death straight in the face at Lazarus' tomb; “And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, 'Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.' ” (John 11:41-42 NKJV)
Let's spend time with God in prayer, knowing that the more we are with Him, the more we are confident in His will and what He is saying to us.
As we pray, know that God hears us and is looking to put His power behind people who will step out and do what He says.
2 Chronicles 16:9
Let's also remember what "Good Friday" represents for us as believers today, and be confident in the incredible sacrifice of Jesus!
