Frequently Asked Questions
1. What happens at a Rock Group meeting?
Rock Groups do various things when they meet, many groups will get together to study a topic or book, others will come together to pray, or share a hobby together.
Rock Groups are less about what you do, and more about who you’re doing it with. What you can expect in your group is to connect with others through a common activity, and to engage in life giving conversation and request prayer.
2. How often does a Rock Group meet?
Rock Groups meet for three semesters a year: spring, summer and fall. During the semester most of our groups will meet once a week.
3. Where do Rock Groups meet?
Rock Groups meet in various places: homes, workplaces, parks, coffee shops and restaurants, hiking trails… it’s not really about where you meet, it’s about people getting together.
4. Is there childcare available?
Every Rock Group is unique. When you are searching for a group in the online directory, you can find out if groups have childcare available. We also recommend contacting the group leader if you need more details.
5. What happens if I don’t like the first group I try?
The truth is not everyone will find the best group for them the first time. For this reason, we really encourage you to look at the available groups, and connect with the leader of more than one group. You may even attend a couple of groups before you settle on the best group for you. That’s okay! Just don’t give up… there is a group that’s right for you!
